Your first visit at Lawrenceville Pediatric Dentist will go as follows:

1. Dr. Sharma will start by getting to know your child to make him or her feel at ease.
2. We’ll take any necessary X-rays
3. Dr. Sharma will conduct a complete pediatric dental exam
4. Our team will provide a preventive dental cleaning.
5. We’ll take the time to teach your child a “healthy teeth” routine you can follow at home.
6. If necessary, we will talk to you, their parent(s), about any issues we find and make recommendations for your child’s daily oral care routine and/or required treatment.

Our dentists and entire staff understand the importance of good oral health for young children. They have specialized training in primary teeth. They are here to help protect and restore children’s teeth so that they can speak and eat easily and have a wonderful smile. They understand the growth and development of children’s teeth so they can start children off with good oral health.

We also understand how important taking care of children’s teeth is. We will work with parents to ensure their children are taking good care of their teeth at home. We will also monitor their mouths for any problems so we can catch them early. If needed, we will work with your children’s regular doctor to treat any problems we find.

We understand that children with special health care needs are unique and we have experience in providing individualized dental care to these patients.

 Dr. Sharma did her clinical research on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based dental treatment in patient with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and received her master’s degree.

Dental care for children with developmental problems requires specialized knowledge and care. Our professional dental staff have the training and experience that is required to deliver the high level of dental care that your kids need. We know as a parent you are looking for the most comfortable and soothing dental experience for your child and/or child with special needs.

American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recognizes sedation dentistry for children as one of the most effective ways to make children comfortable during their dental visit. Certain children with extensive oral health needs, acute situational anxiety, immature cognitive functioning, and disabilities require more intense sedation than nitrous to receive optimal quality of dental care. We at Lawrenceville Pediatric Dentistry offer a variety of safe and effective sedation options.

We offer 1) Oral/Conscious Sedation and 2) IV Sedation.
